Rooted in Allyn’s Rich History and Coastal Charm
The history on this great little fishing town of Allyn began mostly with loggers and farmers in the 1920s and 30s. For years, steamer ships made regular shipments through the Hood Canal, stopping in Allyn. The oyster industry boomed in the 1940s. The North Bay of Case Inlet was very productive for the production of shellfish. The Allyn Dock and covered shed were leased to various oyster companies for production. Today, the city of Allyn is home to “Allyn Days”, also known as the Geoduck Festival celebrating its bustling fishing industry.
